1. Who We Are
This website, navieryacht.com, is operated by NAVIER YACHTS FZCO ("NAVIER YACHTS", "we", "us", "our"), a company established in the United Arab Emirates and located at Dubai Integrated Economic Zones (DSO), Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our production shipyard is located in Longkou, Shandong, China.
For the purposes of the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data ("UAE PDPL") and, where applicable, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), NAVIER YACHTS FZCO is the data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
You can reach us about any privacy matter at info@navieryacht.com or +971 58 508 8518.
2. Summary
- We collect personal information mainly when you send us a build enquiry or subscribe to our updates.
- This website does not set cookies and does not run third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. There is no cookie banner because there are no non-essential cookies to consent to.
- We share your enquiry only with the service providers needed to receive and respond to it.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to anyone.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information you provide to us
When you complete the build enquiry form, the newsletter form, or contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we may collect:
- Identity and contact data — name, company or dealership name, email address and telephone number.
- Enquiry data — the vessel type, size, budget range, quantity, intended timeline and any other details you choose to include in your message.
- Correspondence — the content of your emails, messages and call notes, and our replies.
Fields marked as required are needed to respond to you. Providing other information is optional, but it helps us answer accurately.
3.2 Information collected automatically
Like almost all web servers, our hosting provider records standard technical request data when a page is requested. This typically includes your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page or file requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system identification. This data is used to deliver content, maintain security and reliability, and diagnose faults. It is not used to build a profile about you, and we do not combine it with enquiry data to identify individuals.
3.3 Cookies and similar technologies
We do not set cookies on your device, and we do not use web beacons, pixels, fingerprinting, or local or session storage for tracking or advertising. We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising networks, social plug-ins or comment systems.
Two limited exceptions are inherent to how any website is delivered, and neither is used to track you across websites:
- Content delivery network — our pages load a stylesheet and an icon font from Cloudflare's cdnjs service. That request discloses your IP address to that provider as a normal part of serving the file.
- Edge security — our hosting platform may issue a short-lived, strictly necessary security cookie in order to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse.
Because none of these are used for analytics or advertising, no consent banner is shown. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; doing so will not affect your ability to read this website.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide quotations, specifications and technical information.
- To prepare and administer contracts for the design, construction, supply or servicing of vessels.
- To send you project and build updates where you have asked to receive them.
- To maintain business records, and to comply with accounting, tax, customs, export-control and other legal obligations.
- To protect our website, systems and legal rights, including detecting and preventing fraudulent or abusive submissions.
- To improve our website, products and services in aggregate, non-identifying form.
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal effects concerning you.
5. Our Lawful Bases for Processing
Where the GDPR or comparable legislation applies, we rely on the following bases:
- Steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and performance of a contract — responding to your enquiry and delivering a vessel or service you have ordered.
- Legitimate interests — running and securing our website, preventing abuse and spam, and conducting our normal business-to-business sales activity, balanced against your rights.
- Consent — sending you marketing or project updates. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation — retaining records where UAE law, tax law or export regulations require it.
6. Who We Share Information With
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We disclose it only as described below, and only to the extent needed:
- Website hosting and delivery — our site is hosted on Tencent EdgeOne Pages, with content delivered through its edge network.
- Enquiry and email processing — enquiries submitted through the forms on this website are transmitted to, and stored in, our Lark (Feishu) workspace, which is also the provider that handles email for the navieryacht.com domain. Staff who need to answer your enquiry can access it there.
- Shipyard and build partners — where a quotation or build requires it, relevant enquiry and specification details are shared with our production shipyard and specialist subcontractors under confidentiality obligations.
- Professional advisers — auditors, insurers, lawyers and surveyors, where reasonably required.
- Authorities — where we are required to disclose information by law, regulation, court order, or a lawful request from a competent public authority, including customs and maritime authorities.
- Business transfers — if our business or assets are sold or reorganised, information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
7. International Transfers
We are based in the United Arab Emirates, and our production shipyard is in China. The service providers that host our website and process our enquiries operate infrastructure in several countries. As a result, your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including outside the UAE or the European Economic Area.
For example, the serverless function that handles enquiries on this website runs in our hosting platform's overseas region, which defaults to Singapore for a project of this type, and our messaging and email provider operates its international services from data centres in Asia. Where we transfer personal data out of a jurisdiction that restricts such transfers, we take steps intended to keep it protected — including using providers that offer appropriate contractual safeguards, and limiting access to staff and partners who need it.
You may contact us for more information about the safeguards that apply to a particular transfer.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy:
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract — normally up to 24 months, so that we can pick up the conversation if you return.
- Newsletter subscriptions — until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only a suppression record so that we do not contact you again.
- Contract, warranty and service records — for the life of the vessel relationship plus the period required to support warranty, safety and liability obligations.
- Financial, tax and customs records — for the retention period required by applicable UAE law.
- Website security logs — for a short period, typically up to 90 days.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or irreversibly anonymise it.
9. How We Protect Information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include encryption in transit (HTTPS with HSTS across the whole site), access controls that limit information to staff and partners who need it, confidentiality obligations in our partner agreements, and a website architecture that keeps very little personal data on the public site at all — form submissions are relayed to our business workspace rather than stored on the web server.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If we become aware of a breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by law.
10. Your Rights
Subject to the conditions and exemptions in applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
- Rectify information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
- Erase information where there is no continuing lawful reason for us to keep it.
- Restrict or object to processing, including to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Data portability — receive information you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the UAE this is the UAE Data Office; in the EU/UK it is your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@navieryacht.com. We aim to respond within 30 days, and may ask you to verify your identity first so that we do not disclose information to the wrong person.
11. Marketing and Project Updates
We send project and build updates only where you have subscribed using the newsletter form on this website or have otherwise asked us to. Every such message includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email us to opt out at any time. We do not buy or sell marketing lists. If you are an existing customer, we may occasionally send you information about similar products and services on the basis of our legitimate interest, and you may object to that at any time.
12. Children
This website and our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-Party Links and Messaging
Our website contains links to external services, including WhatsApp, and our pages may be shared through messaging and social platforms. This policy does not cover those third parties. Once you follow a link or open a messaging service, the privacy policy of that provider applies, and we encourage you to read it. The same applies to any embedded content or advertising placed on third-party platforms by us or about us.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to your attention. Continued use of this website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
